In recent years, there has been a stronger urgency than ever for a connection with the natural environment and for a better understanding of our landscape, which is manifested, among other things, in outdoor activities (hiking, cycling, trekking). The new projects for walkways and trails developed by various municipalities reflect a new attitude of community engagement in the territories they inhabit. Informative panels are an important complement that transforms these trails into a more integrated experience.
Our role as communication designers is to make the experience of a place authentic and integrated, helping visitors interpret reality—whether it's about plants, ecologies, assisting with the orientation and functional organization of spaces, or informing them that wild animals should not be fed. Meaningful and well-informed experiences are the best way to promote the protection and conservation of the landscape and its associated biodiversity, creating a closer, more interactive, and relevant connection to the visited contexts.
Identify and produce: Our work develops from the beginning in harmony with clients during the creation and monitoring of the entire production and assembly process. To make our work scientifically relevant, we have partnerships with landscape architects, photographers, illustrators, and translators.
Identify and signpost: Design helps integrate visitors into a place, whether it is in a more complex context like a natural park or forest park, a singular structure in an urban context such as a public garden or an event (market or fair, for example), or a more contained structure like a hotel or museum garden. The project involves unifying the brand image of a city council, hotel, museum, association, or park in the visual communication of landscape spaces.
Species communication: The landscape can be decoded from its signals. For example, vegetation, as a signal, makes visible a system that is often hidden and depends on numerous factors such as geology, rainfall, hydrology, winds, topography, relationships between other plants, sunlight, and much more. Understanding the landscape through its signals allows us to immerse ourselves in its reality. Knowledge is a tool that quickly integrates us into the surrounding territory.
